What You'll Do

As HiOperator’s HR Associate, you’ll play a key role in creating and maintaining the culture of our office and supporting the needs of our recruiting, training, culture, and leadership team.

We are a growth-stage startup that operates very nimbly and you will be actively involved in day-to-day administration and execution, reporting to our Vice President of Operations.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Engage with employees, vendors, and candidates in a friendly and professional manner in our reception area
  • Communicate effectively via phone, email, chat, and in-person
  • Participate in various stages of the recruiting and onboarding cycle
  • Collaborate inner-departmentally for opportunities for cultural initiatives and take lead or provide support as needed
  • Provide ongoing support to the office for supply orders, event planning, travel coordination
  • Contact and confirm new hires are able to join their new hire class
  • Provide excellent service to current and new employees during their time with HiOperator
  • Serve as a liaison between hiring managers, onboarding team, and new employees as they go through their initial onboarding training experience.
  • Support the HR and TA team in creating and implementing new processes and procedures including process automation, creation/updating of process documents, and communicating improved processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to HR projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Here are some of the qualifications we expect you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • A self-motivated professional who is a quick learner and enjoys providing customer-focused assistance.
  • Previous HR or business, administrative, or related experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Background or familiarity with customer service and basic administrative functions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, hybrid environment, and can manage multiple priorities while still focusing on being detail-oriented.
  • An open mind to cultural diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Creative-minded with a strong focus on task completion.
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Excel.
